Courses Offered

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology

Students who study automotive technology will learn a wide range of fundamental principles that will allow them to work as a qualified mechanic. It is a very practical, hands-on course and students will be provided with the theoretical training and then required to perform repairs and servicing on cars provided by the college.

Students will be taught the expert skills and techniques required to service, diagnose faults, repair and maintain most motor vehicle components including:

• The Engine
• The Transmission
• Suspension
• The Brakes
• Electric System
• The Cooing System

Throughout the course students will develop an understanding of automotive vehicle construction, component identification and operating principles as well as become familiar with the tools and equipment that are used in the industry.

Students will also learn industry practices and procedure relating to first aid and work place health and safety requirements that are required in any work place in Australia.
